In My Mailbox (20) and (21)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren. Despite recent events and all the drama, I'm going to continue to support this meme.

Hi, everyone! I have two IMMs to give you today (sorry that they're so late, I was busy obsessing over Avatar: Legend of Korra on Tumblr) and I'm really pleased with my book hauls.

Won:

Half-Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Thanks to Valerie @ Stuck in Books!)

Signed SLIDE postcard (not pictured, thanks to Jill Hathaway!)

Bought:

When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle

172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad

The DUFF by Kody Keplinger

Until I Die (Revenants #2) by Amy Plum

So like I said, I'm really pleased with what I got over the past two weeks and I can't wait to read them all. I'm especially excited about Until I Die because Die For Me was one of my favourite 2011 reads, and I may have done some jumping up and down when Half-Blood arrived...

I got myself some really good books this week! I haven't gone out this weekend as a result (I'm officially broke), but it was worth it.

All links take you to Goodreads.

Bought:

Pandemonium (Delirium #2) by Lauren Oliver

The End of the World (Skulduggery Pleasant #6.5) by Derek Landy (novelette written for World Book Day 2012)

Forgiven (The Demon Trappers #3) by Jana Oliver

The One That I Want by Jennifer Echols

I was so excited to see these come through the door, especially since two are part of my must-read list for this year. I love the cover for the UK hardback of Pandemonium; it's so pretty! I've been reading the Skulduggery Pleasant series since I was 11 years old, and I actually got to meet Derek Landy in September last year. He is awesome and I'm one of his many loyal minions. The One That I Want is also my first Jennifer Echols book, and I've got her other books on my wish list.

Fever by Lauren DeStefano (currently reading)

Overall, a good week with two books I'm dying to read! What's in your IMM this week?

Found an alternative method to getting my phone pictures uploaded to Blogger: email! Hopefully I'll be able to do this every week. I also had my first visit to the library in over two years yesterday, and I was disappointed to see that the teen section had somehow gotten smaller. I spent about 45 minutes trying to find decent books. Here's what I got:

Bought:

Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Aces Up by Lauren Barnholdt (finished, review to come soon)

Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt

Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

The Alchemy of Forever by Avery Williams

Library:

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

The Truth about Celia Frost by Paula Rawsthorne

Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors

Fracture by Megan Miranda

I'm really pleased with what I got this week, and I have to say that Harbinger has a beautiful cover; I can't stop looking at it. The trip to the library was also successful but the selection wasn't brilliant, although I might go more regularly to see if they have anything new (I'm the first one to take out Fracture which just came in). This is a late birthday present which I got from my friend Lauren. Funnily enough, she is also called Lauren Oliver, like the author of this book!

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver; I loved Delirium so I can't wait to read this!

I also won a free ebook of Blue Sky Days by Marie Landry from a giveaway hosted by Giselle @ Xpresso Reads!

In My Mailbox (10)

Hi, I know it's not Sunday but I did go out despite the snow (originally thought I wasn't going to) after I posted my IMM post yesterday and I managed to get a few more books, so here's another IMM.

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi @ The Story Siren, where we show the books we have received this week either through buying them, borrowing them, etc.

Legend by Marie Lu & Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter

Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover & Only The Good Spy Young by Ally Carter

As a personal challenge, I'm going to try to read all the current Gallagher Girls books before the release of the fifth book in the series. I've also heard awesome things about Legend by Marie Lu and I've wanting to read it for a while; I jumped at the chance to be able to buy it.

I saw the trailer for the film, which is coming out at the end of February and I was immediately interested in the book as the trailer was hilarious. It stars Katherine Heigl as Stephanie Plum, one of my favourite actresses!

I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter

I loved Heist Society, and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into her Gallagher Girls series!

Switched by Amanda Hocking

I've been seeing this around a lot lately, so I'm reading it for myself.

Really looking forward to reading all of these. What did you get this week? :)

Just two this week as if I've got myself on a sort of book ban. Here's what I got:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green;

Nearly done reading this and the review will be posted within the next couple of days or so. I did get a signed copy as I pre-ordered back in November. I got a black sharpie J scribble!

A Million Suns by Beth Revis;

So excited to read this one!

An IMM, as promised to make up for the one I missed. These are the books I got for Christmas and 3 of these books I bought yesterday. There's too many here to include pictures so I'm going to list them and include links to Goodreads. In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at thestorysiren.com.

Hourglass by Myra McEntire
I have been waiting forever to read this.
Ripple by Mandy Hubbard
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
I know, I know, how could I not have read this already?!
This Dark Endeavour by Kenneth Oppel
This book's cover is swoon-worthy. I love it.
The Sookie Stackhouse Companion by Charlaine Harris
Not sure if this qualifies as a review book; I'll have a look to see if I can but the likelihood is that I probably won't review it.
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
So much hype over this one. Let's see if it lives up to it.
A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan
Catching Jordan by Miranda Keanelly
I can't wait to start this one!
An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
It's John Green. Need I say more?
The Fox Inheritance by Mary E. Pearson

Embrace by Jessica Shirvington
Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
*fangirling*
Night School by Christi Daugherty
Dark Parties by Sara Grant

Got a couple of good books this week. Unfortunately, my phone's PC Companion software refused to work, so I'll have to make do with images of the covers from Goodreads.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan
Heard some good things about this book, and John Green is my favourite author ever!

The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson (UK signed paperback)

This sounds really good and I've seen quite a lot of positive reviews.

In My Mailbox (2)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at the www.thestorysiren.com

Got my regular two books this week but I have to say that I'm really pleased! Sorry but I took this picture in my room which has the worst lighting ever...

Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson

This one sounds really interesting and I can't wait to read this :D

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
I loved Clockwork Angel - it was one of the best books I've read this year. My heart did a little leap when I saw that they had Collector's Editions of Clockwork Prince in stock in Waterstone's :D I am dying to read this so I'll definitely be reading it after Warm Bodies!

Two really good books this week!

In My Mailbox (1)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at www.thestorysiren.com. Here are all the books I managed to buy this weekend and last weekend (I always buy my books because I love the smell of new books and I start thinking about germs (I'm a bit of a germ freak) when I pick up library books). I usually buy 2 books a week if I go out so this is pretty standard for me. I've had a good couple of weeks book-wise.

Crossed (UK paperback) by Ally Condie
I loved loved loved Matched, can't wait to see what happens next!
Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions by Melissa Marr and Kelley Armstrong (editors)
This book features stories from top YA writers such as Rachel Caine, Claudia Gray, Ally Condie, Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl and more, all with the common theme of journeys; sounds interesting.
Heist Society (Signed UK paperback) by Ally Carter
Ally Carter was at the Bluewater branch of UK book retailer Waterstones a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't go because it was during a school day :( Luckily, Waterstones had her sign a few copies of Heist Society for sale and I got my hands on a signed copy; made my week!
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
I've heard nothing but good things about this book, so I'm giving it a go!

Really looking forward to reading all of these!
